| Market Outlook: | With Red Deer being exactly half way between Edmonton and Calgary (90 miles), the Central Alberta market area has been easy to establish. There is virtually no competition established in Western Canada in “big blade” sharpening. With the addition of “big blade” capability, customers are now coming from all points in Western Canada. The required equipment and facility is in place. There is full reason to expect continued growth in the business. Based on our equipment capability and reputation for quality service, new customers continue to come on stream. Growth continues in circular blades. The most notable growth is in “big blades” since addition of the Reform sharpener. Demand for blade sharpening for recreational ice equipment, paper industries and metal fabrication are among the fastest growing customers. Business increased 70% in 2007, and expectations are very optimistic for 2008 as word travels on our sharpening capabilities and quality service. |
